Best way to connect my sky + box to my new 1080p full hd tv?

Please could some one help me out i have a brand new samsung le40f71bx 1920×1080 full hd 40 inch lcd tv and i have connected my sky + box to it using scart but i am dissapponited with the picture quality it seems a bit fuzzy and not as crisp as it did on my old 26 inch rubbish, the single of my sky is on 3/4 so im wondering if its to do with my connection.
I was wondering if there is a better way of connecting the 2 ie s video would that give me a better picture, my 360 is awesome on it but i would assume its better because they are both hd ready.
Just seems strange that a 26 inch £200 tv gives a better pic than a 40 inch £1200 tv any suggestions would be much appreciated, thanx

Hi there. Ok, if it is sky+ and NOT sky HD, then you can’t link it via HDMI lead. Sounds like you may be viewing he sky picture thru an AV2 connection, which is usually your VCR or DVD recorder: mine is the same if I view thru my DVD recorder, but when on AV1 direct SCART link from sky+ to TV it is much clearer.
HOWEVER, by far the best pic you will get if it is not an HD sky box is by an S-Video lead from Sky+ to S-Video of your TV input. Try it and see. The leads are usually under £10-00
