This TV was recently released from the time of this review, and is one of the best TVs under $ 500 you can find the market. I did a lot of research to find what I wanted on TV. I've been waiting for a good flat screen for a while. I've been waiting for quality has improved while prices have been falling. I finally decided on this Panasonic. I wanted a TV for all movies (Hi Def and Standard Definition or converted) and games (Hi Def and standard definition). I have not got a cable subscription and I'm not interested in the HD cable service. That said, I I wanted a TV as a PC monitor great. I am pleased to say that this TV meets and exceeds my needs so far. It's a great improvement from the tube TV 20-inch I was using before the VIERA. The LCD TV is beautiful and has a variety of cable entries. Both the remote and menu systems are first rate and helpful. This TV emits a true 720p resolution and has a ratio of 4:3 (standard, full-frame) and scale as well. For TVs 32 inches and under, 1080 (Although nice) is not necessary, it would be very difficult to notice a big difference with the HDMI or component sources. The image is super strong, and the control pictures available This TV is pretty impressive. You really can play with the image and color. I laughed the ability to play essentially the Technicolor saturation 60 if desired. What really brings films to life. You can make up to 4 preset color options, too, one of the films, one for sports or live television one for video games, a cartoon for kids, etc, etc. There is a stuck pixel on the TV. This is expected, and is not noticeable unless you're looking for stuck or dead pixels about 18 inches away. I can not see the pixel when viewed, but only when I am close to the screen. This is not a problem at all. You can not select a dead pixel on a TV of this resolution. One of the more than 1 million pixels, the rest are impeccable. I arrived only this, and have not tried all the bells and whistles, such as SD card port or HDMI VIERA Link software (pending 1080 media player, which comes in the mail). PC to TV was without effort and looked great. Even my old PS2 is pretty good, but jagged. I think it's the TV game, though. I almost went for a $ 300 or $ 375 no name at Walmart or Target tv, but I'm glad I paid a little more for a higher quality product. This Panasonic is very, very well built, and is an almost perfect 32-inch television. I am more than happy with my purchase. I have a Sony upconverting DVD (DVPNS710HB model) that offers 480p, 720p, 1080i and upconverts standard DVD player. I bought a $ 3 HDMI cable from buy.com (skip the monster $ 100 cables, trust me) and the picture is fantastic. The trick is that since the TV displays 720p, changing the DVD player to send data at 720, we obtain a native resolution that allows the image look its best on TV. While television has a built-in scaler, scan the DVD and the scale and then transmit via HDMI produces a clearer image signifigantly. Some of the DVDs I have that are shot on digital video look very, very close to HD programming. My DVD digitally remastered James Bond also look signifigantly better than through a DVD player components. I was impressed. As for features, the other SD card reader is too slow for my taste. It takes a few seconds to load each image. Of course, I have a VGA connector connected, so its much more convenient to upload images to my PC and view them through windows. HQ pictures look amazing on this TV, however. I always shot in digital images high resolution, but could not really see them as they were meant to be seen, just a 15-inch LCD. With the new TV as a monitor, my photos now looks 100 times better. Another cool feature through Viera Link, HDMI Sony DVD remote works with the Panasonic does not need programming. I simply went to the menu VIERA Link and HDMI DVD player is selected, now my DVD player to start and stop when you turn on the TV and I can remotely control all of my TV. Very cool. I'll post some updates if I have nothing more to say, or if anyone has any questions.
