Is it okay to buy a refurbished TV?

I’m looking at a 26 inch vizio lcd tv. is it okay to be refurbished or should i stick with brand new?

if i were you, i would buy brand new. it is always best to buy any product as NEW.
It depends on if it was used and returned, and then reconditioned, or just didn’t work and they fixed the broken component. It’s kind of a crap shoot honestly. You could get really lucky and get a good deal, you could get screwed.
Read the warranty (if any) carefully. Refurbs often only have 90, as opposed to one year, warranties. Where are you getting it from? Sure, you can get a good deal online for a refurb TV, but once you figure shipping, it may be just as much to go Wal-Mart and pick it up new.
Unless it is a great deal, like $100 cheaper, I would just get the new one. 26″ TVs are relatively inexpensive, you might as well make your purchase an investment. Getting one new you can almost guarantee yourself a long product life. Good luck.
