If you can’t tell the difference than it shouldn’t matter.
I would use the higher 1080i rez unless the flicker/interlace bothers you.
I can’t tell the difference. Some have said to use 720p, where the pixels refresh faster for sports and other fast action, and 1080i, which has more pixels, for everything else.
With your size TV, go with the 720p resolution…especially with fast action movies & sports!
For everything else you could go with 1080i but with that small of TV, your not going to see a huge difference in pic quality unless maybe you sit 3ft from your TV…which i don’t recommend anyway!
Your tv is 720p. The 1080i refers to your tv’s ability to receive a 1080i signal, not display it, so no matter what your tv receives it will display in it’s native resolution, 720p. All HD tvs are the same, they can display only in their native resolution.
That is why it doesn’t look any different when you try different settings. Normally, setting things closest to your tv’s native resolution, 720p, will result in the best picture.
