Hello, I have had a ps3 for about 2 years. I love it so much, and on the big tv in our house which is about 5 years old and 1080i, the picture looks great. I got a dynex 26 inch 720p tv. I noticed that blu rays look very grainy, and so do the games for the most part. So i get a sony 32 inch 1080p tv. There appears to be the same exact problem. I figure that its a problem with a cheap hdmi cord, so i bought a sony one, same problem. I then got the same tv thinking it was a lemon, same problem. I then bought a samsung 32 inch 1080p tv, the same problem! It seems to look fine on my huge 70 inch or however big 1080i tv which is also lcd and about 5 years old.

I’ve only ever had tube TVs, but I’m now ready to join the 21st century and get a flat screen.
Any tips to get the best value? What model do you have and how has it been for you?
It’s just for my bedroom, so I’m thinking an LCD between 26-32 inches.
What brands are best? What brands should I stay away from? I started looking at Target and Walmart, but a lot of those I haven’t even heard of! When buying a name brand are you really just paying for that name or are they truly better?
I want to spend less than $500. Thanks for any tips!

I usually keep my television on over night (muted). I am just used to it being on. Now I have 26 Inch LCD HD-TV (Sony Bravia). I was wondering if leaving my television on overnight was a bad idea for LCD-HD televisions. Any insight would be appreciated

I have a 26 inch LCD TV at my room and everything works fine, except the sound.
It’s too loud! When I turn the volume up to 1 or 2 , the sound seems alright, but when I want it a little lower without turning the volume off theres nothing I can do…
The volume of the TV in the living has to be turned up to 10 or so to be as loud as my LCD TV when its on 1 or 2…
