Does Avatar’s 3D work with transition lenses(on regular glasses)?
I went to see Avatar yesterday and the 3D did not work for me the way other people described it. None of the images seemed like they were raised off of the screen, but I could sense some depth. My friend told me it was because of the transition lenses(on my regular glasses). They were not darkened in the theatre, obviously, but he said that having 2 polarized lenses causes the 3D effect to not work. Could this be the issue, or are there other things that might be the issue?
I’m an optometrist. Your transitions lenses aren’t polarized, so are unlikely to have affected the movie. And the movie doesn’t use normal everyday polarized lenses anyway.
Do you have a lazy eye? or one eye a lot more dominant than the other?
If you don’t have good binocular co-ordination, you won’t get the same effect others can get.
