If you connect a high definition decoder to an HDTV will give you the same image and resolution as a TV FULLHD?

We thinking of buying this new Panasonic 42inch plasma .. it is a HDTV from Panasonic has 42 "plasma TH-42PH10AK .. its a HDTV, and we the best picture of it .. so was wondering if you connect a digital HD cable box, if you give the same image quality and resolution as HDTV FULL, thnx for your help! =) Ok .. I think I know what you're asking. For the most part will get the same image quality with a top box digital HD as you would with your TV tuner. I did a search quick and it seems that this model has the tuner built. Some plasma and LCD monitors are selling like or who claim to be on TV, but do not mention that the lack TV tuner built-in high definition. Ensure that technical specifications specify that the TV has a "built in" tuner TV. Some do not mention it because it is assumed to do, just do not be fooled by a lower price. That may be why. I have my 42 "LCD connected to a HD set top box and I can switch between which is built in tuner if you choose. I must say that some 1080i channels seem to look a little better compared with the tuner with the box. That is comparing the same channel via HDMI. But like most HD channels (now) are only in 720p and television that is receiving only supports up to 720p, then you probably will not notice the difference. The 1080i / p 720p channels will be degraded.
