LCD TV with blur screen vs pipe?

We just bought a 46 "60 Hz 1080Pi Samsung LCD TV. When we set out in the country overview was not a sharp as our old 32 "Toshiba tube TV. By way of example, a program of the characters in the front of the image can be, but back were more diffuse. I coaxle regular cable to my TV PVR. Some people say HDMI connector would be better, but others say that makes it little different in image quality. Try different color, contrast, sharpness / etc. configuration, but did no better. We were so upset that all refurbishment and returned the next day and returned to our old TV. Is this common when you go to these new TVs? Should have gone to 120Hz or 240Hz? I know Plasma that has its own peculiarities, but it is a more or LED will solve this problem? I have no HD cable, that would help? In stores these TVs look great and the quality is excellent thanks to them coming home is a different story. Am I too picky?

is the 60hz, try going to a TV 120hz/240hz has a response time of less than 4ms LED is also better, with better color and contrast. Also remember that the standard TV picture looks worse in a high-definition HDTV seek the highest standard of HD programming, but LED does a pretty good job with standard as well.
