is there a software where i can choose what to project into an LCD projector?

i need to limit what images my laptop projects to an LCD projector so that i won’t have to cover the projector whenever i want to change something in my laptop while projecting.. is there a software that could help me? thanks!

No. You’d need a hardware solution.

The simplest and least complicated would be a modified output lead to the projector which is switchable to a second laptop display for you to use whilst fiddling with your primary laptop.
