My Olevia 26 inch lcd moniter flickers when powered and shuts off. what do i need to do to fix this problem?

its 3 years old and 2 weeks out of extended warrenty….. what luck. the screen goes black a half second after i power it up. it seems like it wants to come on but then just stops.

Your inverter board has failed. Many computer shops can work on them these days. Call around and see who nearby can do it. It isn’t that hard to fix yourself IF you are a bit handy and want to try. You will have to disassemble it and look on the small board that has cables running to the LCD itself. There will bea part number on the board and you will have to order a new one. Here is a quick search of boards on ebay and approximate costs.
