Do you have 3D vision in a game of HDTV right?

I read somewhere that the 3D view an HDTV definition does not work. Is that true. I am interested in the purchase of "Journey to the Center …" and view it in 3D. I have a 52 "LCD HDTV. Will it play well? How about a 3D unit that connects to the TV with the most expensive glasses?
