Is welcome in the plasma, HDTV ready for the regular channels are not ready for HDTV.?

This may be a myth, but …. I had TV salesman told me that even when I bought the plasma or LCD wide screen better / HCD ready television, shows diffuse reception for "regular" TV is not HD, so it is best to keep my regular TV to HDTV programming else was available. Because of this response, I've been afraid to invest money, thinking that my reception will be worse instead of better dramatically. I mean, HDTV programming is available through my cable company, but most programming is not. Any idea you can share personal experience is appreciated my friends.

Ah! Yes my friend, I can answer your question. I took a week after work to deepen the problem reg TV HDTV. Seller do not know how to adjust the various boxes in the change. When I got my 32 "HD ready LCD TV and connected to the cable box the picture looked like shit. Solid colors gfround the back where "boubling washed" and all that out. Even recording the air tuner built into it was not so good. The secret is to get an HD box from the cable company, mine is a Motorla comcast box, and put it as follows: The implementation of the cable box tha best picture I found the kind of TV is: 16:09 YPbPr output: 1080i 4:03 override: in the East is a DTC6412 Motorla box, others must be like doing. It is always is driving the TV with a 1080i, allthe conversion takes place in the cable box, 480i standard TV to 1080i for the best picture possible. can feed a 1080i HDTV from various sources, HDMI or componant, I use the componant cable that comes with the Comcast cable box, a cable line 5:. YPbPr video componant is not the same as RCA, YPbPr componant is an audio output L & R and also deos take 1080i for DVD movies, with a cable HDMI. Drive cable thing to buy is an "up converting DVD player with a Samsung DVD-HD850 is a good example. Will become the NTSC, 480i to 1080i and send it to HDMI port for HDTV. Set the DVD player to 1080i output. The TV can display 480i, 480p, 720p or 1080i, with care and you should be impressed with the image, however, the resolution of DVD is 480i, unforunatly, even in widescreen. For a Full HD image of the TV is capable of we should all go out and buy the new hddvd or blueray players from Sony and others. that will give you Full HD image, but the cost is a bit off the ball opark now, about 500 for hddvd and 1000 mark for the BlueRay, same output, but this DVD formats. You also have to buy the DVD or blueray hddvd format too, I will not work with current DVD, the information simply is not there, wait a bit on them. C, so to summarize, cable and HDTV cable box output 1080i pushing through ypbr componant cable. ***!!! adjust the output cable box with the cable box OFF and TV, press the MENU button once red. is not pressed, just a flash of light, or just flashes the screen. This output configuration screen you can adjust the output unit cablr box. set to the type of TV: 16:09 YPbPr output: 1080i! 4:03 override: off. press menu again to save and .!!!*** an "upconverting DVD player, driving through a HDMI cable and began to drive 1080i. that's it, get happy. I suggest that you print this, as are Delta Q after 3 days, I think.
