What is the difference between hd ready and full hd on a tv?

Hd ready means it is displaying a HD signal if used with a HD source ie blu-ray player or sky box or virgin hd The HD Full one has a built in digital tuner and can also display a HD signal to its highest optical range ie 1080p whereas the earlier one may not display in that format and may only display in 720 pwhich is the lowest form of digital hd signal I hope this helps but be aware the full HD set still needs a HD source for true HD viewing
