Cheap Lg 1080p LCD 32 inch HDTV Review

After comparison shopping for an LCD to replace my current Sharp Aquos LC20D42U (also Revised), I decided on this TV.

I'm not going to write a book – but the following are my first impressions.

Since my departure Sharp screen was only one HDMI input, two inputs of the LG are acceptable for my needs (HD cable / DVR and PS3), but for other more peripheral (independent Blu-Ray, DVD, games for various consoles, etc), 2 HDMI inputs may not be enough. The set also has a component input (probably acceptable for use w / a DVD player no scaling).

Unboxing the TV in my living room, I bent all my lights to check for faults / defects. While the TV was in good condition, both on screen and the glossy black bezel had hand / fingerprints in multiple locations. Not sure if this happened factory (made in Mexico) or if you have a unit that had been previously pulled out of the box (manual, remote control, support, were still in sealed plastic – So I guess factory), but it was a little disturbing, even at this price. It took a couple of minutes to wet a cloth and wipe the TV before creation.

The glossy black bezel is nothing special – does not look bad, but it looks (and feel) a little cheaper. This is not a TV that is mounted or a visible place – especially between high-quality peripherals, audio equipment or as the anchor for an expensive entertainment center (of course, it is doubtful that a TV 32 "normally form the core an expensive piece of furniture style.)

After setting the TV, I obviously on. I was impressed right away. As television newer, this is a pre-programmed by default to the wild or backlight brightness and color settings (with the aim of the exhibition sets no store by washing with bright lights, I guess). After spending some time optimizing the image, which was able to make adjustments that were to my liking. The picture is quite impressive tune this price – solid transformation, even illumination, good black levels for a television with CCFL backlight, color and fairly accurate, although the display off-angle could be better. Speaking of setting, the menu interface is very simple and easy to use – both good menu design and also because there is no lot of characteristics of the package is configured.

Which brings me to the features – not among the next generation of television LCD screen has no backlight LED, it is not 120hz, it is thinner than a hair, does not connect wirelessly or widgets offer or video streaming, and is not compatible with 3D (a feature I sincerely hope not capture on film or TV – who wants to wear 3D glasses all night?).

However, if you do not want to spend much television does not need to be a topic of conversation while you are off, you do not need the TV to perform functions other devices to make redundant and seeks above all to decent image quality and good value – then I recommend this TV for you.
