How can you improve the look of analog cable on an HDTV.?

Have a 46 in HDTV Sanyo mainly used PS3 and Xbox, so no digital box attached. Analog cable looks awful (everything else is fine). Is there anything I can do? Second question I was thinking about buying a digital converter box to pick up digital signals wirelessly. Will it work well?
