What’s better for a 60″ – 70″ TV, DLP, LCD, or Plasma?

I have a 50 inch DLP Samsung, and the quality is good. The only one issue I’ve had over the past 3 years or so is that the lamp went out so I had to replace that. I moved to a house with a huge room, and the 50″ looks too small now. I’m thinking about getting a 60″, up to possibly 65 or 70″. Is LCD the best way to go? I want quality and price, and it doesn’t have to hang on the wall like a plasma, but that would be cool. Can you hand an LCD of that size on the wall like you could a plasma? Any suggestions would be much appreciated on brand, style, price…etc.

Yes you can hang any lcd on a wall unless its a projection lcd. For that size I would go with a plasma, but you will pay more for it compared to a DLP. The bigger you go, the plasma will give you the best picture and viewing angles but will be most expensive. DLP will be the cheapest but has bad viewing angles compared to plasma and lcd. LCD is good but not as good as plasma when you start getting into the 60″ range. Go to the store and look at all 3. Check your viewing angles, reflection of lights and windows (plasma has glass front). All in all what it comes down to is what satisfies you and your wallet.
