Which HDTV tv is best for me (please read details)?

I am looking for a tv in the 52 – 60 inch range and it will be going in a room with A LOT of sunlight. There are windows all around and 2 on the ceiling as well. It has to go in this room. I’m not looking for a specific brand (but that would be fine too), but mostly just LCD vs LCoS vs Plasma, etc.

Plasmas are nice TV’s BUT and this is a huge BUT – they have GLASS FRONT SCREENS and will create a LOT of glare and reflection (especially in a brightly lit room).

LCD TV’s do not have the glass front and therefore have a lot less glare and reflection on the screen.

If you have that much sunlight into the room I would not recommend a rear projection TV as they are backlight and the viewing angle is a lot less (130 degrees for the rear projo versus 178 for the flat panel). Definitely go with the flat panel tv. A bonus – these can be hung on the wall like a plasma can and depending on the wall mount that you purchase they can tilt *up to 20degrees* and swivel when pulled out off the wall.
