If you have a fixed position in 2D imaging / video, what are some methods you can use to make it appear 3D?

This is for a small project I've been thinking for a while and I think I know the answer, I'm not sure. If you have two small about small screens an inch or less in front of your eyes (think virtual child for those who remember it), you can make the image displayed in 3D, if the angles of each image are slightly different and that the projects on the other. What if you can not change the viewing angle of each image case. When projected on the other the viewing angle of each image is the same as shown in 2D. Can fish screens in place of the images on the screens, the work to correct this, and if so the quality is suffering? How could correct any lack of definition or at least make it better? If you have any suggestions please let me know. The only requirements are that peripheral devices to be very small and the minimum blur is achieved.

Take two photos, one right and one on the left, like their eyes. Use two projectors, and the project two images on a screen. In one projector, place a linear polarizing filter. On the other place another filter at right angles to the first. They display using polarized glasses, lined up to see just one image to each eye.
