22 "LCD TV LCD monitor.Any as evil?

I bought a new sansui 22 "LCD TV (@ 11 grand pianos) to use as my computer monitor (Please do not ask why). It supports VGA and I'm using, all is well. My friends and family are saying with LCD TV as a monitor may affect eyes and is not a suitable option.I wanted an opnion on the same.I studio in my PC (programming and reading e-books) to say atleast 03.02 hours at strecth Should I continue using it or should I replace it with LCD monitor? If you then change the size and what brand is suitable (budget = Rs. 11000)

I would like to share scientific reason for television, safe distance. Pepole say there is no problem as it does not cause damage to the eyes, but it is not fatigue and eye strain if you are too close to the TV. I think anything and especially body parts are subjected to constant stress can damage – As the case of using the PC for more than 1 hour. I suggest you can go from 14 inch or 15 inch TFT LCD Monitor and usually the distance is 2 meters or more and insurance eye. Any brand-Samsung, LG or Sony or equivalent is acceptable.
