What cord do I need to connect my laptop to my TV?

I have a 13 inch standard model macbook and a sony bravia 52 inch LCD digital TV. I’d rather pay as little as possible for a cord, although I might already have it lying around so could you please describe it. Thanks

depends what inputs you have on the tv and outputs on mac probably a standard vga cable (or hdmi?)
don’t get conned into buying expensive gold plated/oxygen free etc cable – the cheapest one you can get will do!!
